Before even reading this book, being a family member who lived through everything that was written in Cynthia’s book, I was about to reopen part of my life where I was to relive again the pain and unspeakable horror we all endured during Mikey’s death and Christina’s passing all within 6 months.

Being a part of Cynthia’s life for over 30 years and the wife of my dear brother Richard who passed away just a few years later was an extraordinary adventure as all our lives were spent at Cynthia and Richard’s home which I often referred to as the Portaro headquarters. I was privileged to experience the horror and tragedy of losing my nephew Mikey and niece Christiana through her eyes and heart, a place only God sees through a mother’s grief.

I thank God for Cynthia’s deep faith and trust in the Lord because her tragedies have become her strength IN Christ. Her book gives us a glimpse of what God can do to help us overcome grief and pain and turn to help others in their times of tragedies. A MUST-READ to find healing and grace from God and the ability to understand forgiveness and give to those who need forgiveness. 2 Cor. 1:3-4 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
